SHAW APP

DIGITAL APP WITH INTEGRATED LLM

This project centered on co-creating an intervention to enhance the less visible aspects of health and wellbeing among older workers. We ran a co-design process aiming to create human centred tools, enabling older workers to track health changes and use that knowledge to structure health conversations at work. This comprised of multiple rounds of Research Probes being sent out to over 40 co-designers across the UK.

This resulted in the SHAW app, a tool enabling them to align their evolving health needs with their organisation’s options for reasonable adjustments. It aims to prevent older employees from being forced out of work due to health issues by enabling them to align their evolving health needs with their organisation’s adaptive work options. The app empowers individuals to reflect on their health and work situations and take action to access the necessary support, fostering a supportive work environment that accommodates their changing needs.

A Business School and Design Informatics research project. Made in partnership with Kiersten Hay and Evan Morgan.
